Delta is complete garbage compared to the other airlines. This is just icing on the shite cake for me. Frick them.

Kill hundreds of animals every day and no one bats an eye.

Kill one lion and watch everyone lose their minds!

I'm sure a number of future Delta passengers will be glad you made this decision.

Virtually every quantifiable metric out there comparing US airlines says you are wrong. Delta has widely been considered the best in its competitive set for the last few years.

FWIW...I'd eat Cecil.

It's my dream to be the first man to eat every college mascot in existence.

It may take me some strange places.

I find that hard to believe since I've had nothing but bad experiences with Delta. But if you say so...

Lufthansa and Emirates Airline already have similar policies in place and after news of Cecil’s death, South African Airways also announced a policy refusing to transport exotic animal hunting trophies.

South African Airways can fricking forget about my business when I fly to California next month.

Occasionally smaller domestic carriers like Alaska or Southwest will beat them in a category here or there, but Delta has been destroying American and United (i.e., it's true competitive set) in virtually all of the customer satisfaction, DOT, and other major ranking metrics for a while now.

Never would have expected that. Guess I have pretty bad luck. I usually fly United and never have any issues. American can go suck a d.

I'm not a fan of the decision, but I laugh at the people who get hysterical over this kind of thing.

Everyone seems to want democracy and the free market to rule, yet they bitch incessantly when a private company caters to the masses.

This is the free market at work. Delta weighed their options and eliminated a service that was no longer viable. People who are much smarter than you or I looked at the pros and cons and decided to go this route. I can assure you that they are all about the bottom line, and this decision is best in their assessment.

Move along.

Koch brothers should release a statement saying they will no longer allow their employees to fly Delta on company business. Delta would lose more revenue from that than the would have lost had they kept flying trophy animals.

Probably booked extra flights from people wanting to show their support.

I don't plan to go big game hunting, so I doubt this decision will effect me in any way.

Maybe I've just had poor experiences with them, but the past few flights I've had have been either delayed, oversold, cancelled, or lost luggage. In my cheap airfare of the week threads I have not seem them even reasonably priced in comparison to American or United so there's not really any reason for me to fly them much.

I'll say they are allowed to do whatever they want as a company. If you disagree with their decision, don't fly them. Simple as that.
