I’m going with a sex deprived incel with a samurai sword. I bet he didn’t even have to take his fedora and trench coat off.

Edged weapon is a fairly broad term

Could have been a knife, could have just as easily been a lawnmower blade or a katana

I’m going with machete or axe. Stabbing with a knife cuts up the hand of the stabber usually, unless it’s a really designed well.

Yeah, a knife is gonna have victims screaming bloody murder.

An axe, if they are sleeping or preoccupied…well, Lizzie Borden did it.

One blow to the head or throat area and your victim isn’t making much sound. You could go room to room, much like the Hinterkaifeck murders.

This is clearly the work of a ninja assassin or ronin.

You know why they don't have a Miss Ebonics America Pageant?

Nobody wants to be Miss Idaho.

Yet, thankfully, the UVA killer got fewer, with a gun.

The mayor of Moscow, Art Bettge, has speculated the deaths may be linked to a property crime "gone wrong" or a "crime of passion."

Seems like the mayor is a little out of his depth. I don’t know if he’s throwing out his own guesses and theories, or if he’s responding to questions from the press.

Either way, he’s not doing anyone any favors jumping to his own conclusions and putting them on record in the public domain

Statistics are favorable that the killer is black and you'll get your validation.

They have a lot of black killers in Idaho?
I hope they find the person & quickly. A Quadruple & triple murder at Idaho & UVA , but someone breaks into a car at Jackson State .............

It should kill the general myths / allusions about which campuses are really " safe" or " unsafe" .

Ummm, you might want to check recent crime statistics at or around Grambling State University before comparing “safe “ campuses.

The campus is literally walking distance (or rolling distance to you) to Washington State.

Geography is as neglected in this country as economics and civics.

However the comment was sarcastic, something else you people really struggle with.

Use your mind think of what it could mean.

Moscow, Idaho hadn’t had a murder in years before these killings. There are murders every other day around Grambling, Southern, Jackson State, etc. Now ask yourself, why is that the case? That would be a better exercise than simply ignoring the fact that schools in predominantly black areas experience a much higher crime rate.

This story has been confusing but I think I figured out one piece of the story that puts a lot of the confusion to rest.

The unconscious person in the road was not one of the deceased based on how the articles are written. They say the found four deceased inside.

This would mean that whoever the person in the road was is still alive and likely still unconscious. Its unknown if this person is the killer because all reports still say they do not have a weapon ... so they say.

The city of Moscow, Idaho has had 7 murders in the past 15 years prior to this.

Two of the four University of Idaho homicide victims, Madison Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves, were seen in video footage from a food truck before they were killed at their home near campus over the weekend.

In the video posted to Twitch — an online platform for livestreamed events — Mogen and Goncalves stand in line to order food from Grub Wandering Kitchen's food truck, dubbed the "Grub Truck," and talk with friends standing nearby in Friendship Square in Moscow, Idaho.

Hopefully there isn’t a an ongoing threat, but there was a previous campus alert back in September of a white guy on bike threatening students with a knife. If Idaho has an adept state police force they might want to ask for assistance to make sure this is handled correctly.

The Moscow Police Department received a report that a group of students was walking between the Steam Plant parking lot (Lot #14) and the Student Recreation Center on Paradise Path and were threatened by a person with a knife," states the alert from Sept. 12.
