kid is definitely so stupid as to be dangerous and needs to do time, but can we stop pretending you give a shite about other people? people are pissed about the damage to the "events" reputation of the city, and then a lot of you are drama queens that just want to join in

Not really. Anyone who isn't an alcoholic will more than likely not drink and drive ever again after getting a DUI. The people that get multiple DUI tend to be alcoholics.
So you can increase the punishment all you like but that won't stop someone that is addicted and the ones that aren't addicted were going to stop anyway.
