Boom! And there you have it - they've structured the argument in such a way that there is no win.
-Do nothing and nothing occurs? They find something, probably natural, point to that tragedy, claim that they were right and we were wrong.
-Do nothing and something occurs? They claim that they were right and we were wrong.
-Do what they want and nothing occurs? They claim that they were right and we were wrong.
-Do what they want and something occurs? They claim that they were right but we didn't do enough.

My ecology professor told me we'd be out of fresh water by 2015 too
Posted on 10/27/16 at 11:22 am to btnetigers
The rainforests and the ozone layer should be completely gone today, too.

I mean, yeah....they are gonna be dead soon anyway. You're basically just ending their suffering. PETA should thank you.

I need a flow chart to keep up with all of the ways we should've destroyed the earth by now.
--- no ozone layer
--- no rainforest
--- ice caps melted
--- no polar bears
--- no coral reefs
--- no oceanic "treadmill"
--- no more winter (global warming)
--- no more summer (global cooling)
--- no more bees
--- kudzu was supposed to take over the entire south by now
--- oceanic acidification killing all sea life
--- sea level rise was supposed to take out half of Florida and all those small islands with overpriced hotels
--- low flow shower heads and low flow toilets haven't staved off California's drought
--- the list goes on and on and on....
The real problem we need to start dealing with before it is too late is the impending attack of the Morlocks!

Someone's been reading the Atlantis Gene.

No, what is it? Sounds interesting. I do think there is a 100% chance of intelligent life out there.

Thank God for the 11 degree temperature decline we had. I cant imagine if it was actually 99 degrees yesterday

It's a three book series about Atlanteans being aliens and influencing human development. There are a couple of plagues released that only humans with the Atlantean gene are able to survive.

I remember hearing this in 1972 and again when Reagan was elected.......

Bingo. When I saw who was saying this, I knew it was propaganda. All about money and agendas.
Sure, we need to do what we can to protect our natural resources, but they are going to be extinct in 4 years? Really?!?!
Posted on 10/27/16 at 12:25 pm to btnetigers
I mean if a comet hits sure.

Habitat destruction, overfishing, and poaching are real problems. These reports are meant to scare you.
I suspect what will eventually happen is that various ecosystems will restructure. As the species composition changes, we'll see vast differences in not only the animal populations but what types of plants are found there.
