The "justice" that some citizens refer to is better described as revenge. They want to harm and hurt the perceived oppressor regardless of what the law says.

Sounds very similar to a German group that formed post WW1.

What if they had no legal right to detain or search you? It will happen eventually.. a cop acting outside of the law will pull a Taser or hit someone and they will protect themselves with lethal force..
