Pilots? A lot. But thats a whole racket by itself. If your dad isnt a pilot you can forget about getting in that club.

I know of one who drives Uber on his off time so it cant be that great.

There is a yuuuuuge difference between a tugboat captain and a riverboat pilot.

The tug captain might make $100k. The riverboat pilot is going to pull $350k.

Tugboat cpt with an unlimited license can make up to 1,000/ day and work as much as they care to

But you have to work as a deckhand for a few years first to get your hours and they start closer to $100/ day

My BIL does this 14on, 7off $150K he's bonused $10-25k in some years depending. Pretty good money but the schedule sucks!

There's a difference beteeen tugboats, pushboats and ships. Which type of vessel are you referring to?

$450-$700 day depending on what size boat and where they running.

$350-$600 per day plus benefits depending on what kind of tug and tow.

The market has softened according to glassdoor and other sources.
