Has a bunch of interesting situations and chilling last words.
1994 Fed Ex 705. A disgruntled employee attacks the pilots with a hammer soon after taking off. Crazy stuff.

I didn't look at the list, but the more recent Continental flight that crashed near Buffalo is scary. The pilots talked back and forth about how little experience they had flying in icy conditions.

Not what you want in your pilot.

1978 PSA flight that collided with another plane. One of the pilots say "Bye Mom".
The Air France 447 is interesting also. Pilots had no idea if they were falling or climbing.

I know a guy that was one of the Delta 191 survivors. A musician from England that was in the US partying with friends in different cities. Dallas wasn't his final destination that day... but after the crash - He never left.
I never asked him anything about it... but he'd start to "brain dump" stuff occasionally when hammered. He was a mess for years and had PTSD type nightmares. Apparently most of the survivors were all from the last 10 or 12 rows in the back of the plane. Everybody sitting more than 2 rows in front of him died.
He finally got in the right headspace to get on an airplane again about 3 years ago. Found out he had a kid one of his exes never told him about and went to meet him as well as visit one of his parents who was getting up in years and could no longer come to the US.

After reading the transcripts for all of these crashes, I never want to fly again.
Can you just imagine?

24 February 1989 - United 811
quote:
During the climb, the crew made preparations to detour around thunderstorms along the aircraft's track; anticipating turbulence, the captain kept the seat-belt sign lit. Around this time (02:08) the plane had been flying for approximately 16 minutes and was passing between 22,000 and 23,000 feet. In the business-class section, a grinding noise was heard, followed by a loud thud which rattled the whole aircraft—1½ seconds later the forward cargo-door blew out abruptly. The pressure differential caved in the floor above the door, causing two rows of seats (8G-12G and 8H-12H) and an individual in 9F to be ejected from the cabin, resulting in nine fatalities and leaving a gaping hole in the aircraft. The fatalities were: Anthony and Barbara Fallon, Harry and Susan Craig, Lee Campbell, Dr. John Crawford, John Swan, Rose Harley and Mary Handley-Desso. Mae Sapolu a flight-attendant in the Business-Class cabin was also severely injured when she was almost pulled out of the plane too, but survived when she was seen clinging to a seat leg by passengers and fellow crew who pulled her to safety inside the cabin.
Can you just imagine?

Notable ones I have seen in the past.
Flight 352 in 2001
That 2010 flight
Flight 764 in 1989
Flight 529 in 1995
Some of them being the feels though.
I think the worst one is after trying thing after thing, calmly saying: "That's it....I'm dead."

Another one from the successful Hudson flight
If only he knew that in 10 short minutes he would be in the Hudson

1994 US Air 427 was creepy to read.

Those were interesting ones.
Quick, someone post the usual reminder about how flying is the safest mode of travel.

I read the 9/11 flight 93 for some reason. I dont know why, it made me mad. Those terrorists truly believed they were doing something right in the name of "Allah". Theyre so twisted and deranged its not funny. Glad they did not succeed in their plans
Im mad at the OP for posting these, I suddenly got reminded of my former fear of flying I use to have. Now I cant get the thought of all of these pilots last words out of my head. These guys were just living and enjoying life one second, to seeing their death literally awaiting them. frick you for my nightmares im about to have

I am getting on a plane in a few hours with my family. I think I will wait on this thread.
