You'll be fine going 12 through the Dell at that hour.

Road construction at I-10/I-12/I-59 starts on Friday afternoon. You need to go around this. Check the DOTD website for details.

Do you think it would be worth it to take 10 east thru NOLA?

Why are they doing that work on the weekends in the summer when a lot of people are going to the beach?

I feel like there's less traffic through there during the week this time of year. The work is east of 12/59/10.

Gotcha. Thought all the traffic was btwn the Causeway and 59.

Really no good time for interstate work. Winter is football season. Then carnival season, then spring break back into summer. At some point, somebody will be screwed.

Good to know, thanks! I assumed it was both directions every weekend.

eta: It says westbound and eastbound.....

Then I guess the LA DOTD site has it wrong, as it lists both east & westbound lane closures this weekend.

You must bring your LSU tent, LSU visor, LSU cooler, LSU insulated tumbler, LSU fishing shirt, flip flops and columbia shorts. That way in case we were wondering we'd know for which school you cheer.

I left once at 5 pm on a Friday during the summer and had no problems. We got to Destin pretty quickly. I think 7 pm would work out even better.
