Pol Pot killed 25% of his own county's population. That is some serious shite.

Read extensively about the lives of Stalin and Mao and to a lesser degree, Hitler. I just can't fathom anyone as bad as those three as far as scale of their terror goes. I am sure Amin and Pot would have been equally destructive though given larger populations like Mao and Stalin had.

His last name, Dracula, means little devil. I always thought it meant dragon?

you are correct

His Romanian patronymic Dragwlya (or Dragkwlya)[3] Dragulea, Dragolea, Draculea,[4][5] is a diminutive of the epithet Dracul carried by his father Vlad II, who in 1431 was inducted as a member of the Order of the Dragon, a chivalric order founded by Sigismund of Hungary in 1408. Dracul is the Romanian definite form, the -ul being the suffixal definite article (deriving from Latin ille). The noun drac "dragon" itself continues Latin draco. Thus, Dracula literally means "Son of the Dragon". In Modern Romanian, the word drac has adopted the meaning of "devil" (the term for "dragon" now being balaur or dragon). This has led to misinterpretations of Vlad's epithet as characterizing him as "devilish".

As messed up as he was, we did get alot of medical knowledge from him.

Maybe I am thinking of someone else, I remember learning about a Nazi Doctor who would hit people in the face with hammers to study the different fractures. There are three fractures named after this doctor. I am pretty sure its him..I just cant remember.

Went to Phnom Penh in 2011 and it was insane to see the fields. There was still bits of clothing and teeth in the ground. There was also "The Killing Tree" and it's where they beat babies against the tree while the mother watched. I don't get how people can do these things.

I also went to Auschwitz when I was younger and nothing made me feel as eery before or since (Killing Fields was close). I was truly humbled and sad. To think of the moments of people's lives as they died or were being killed and knew that was coming was a lot to take.

These things prove to me there is no higher power. Nothing could or should let these animals do what they have done to innocent people, especially children.

I have the book "most evil dictators in history". It's like an 8th grade read but I've always been fascinated with stuff like that.

Damn. It is always a shame to see someone lose his faith over an act of evil. It's as if the evil acts have served their purpose.

And it's not even close. These 2 should be 1 & 2 on every list.

Exactly. What kind of god would allow this? The obvious answer is not a loving god. Not a god worth worshipping.

Yes but only after he was responsible for the killing of millions.

My comment was primarily about why does God get blamed when evil people do evil shite.
Do we need God to micromange our lives? Nope
Should God intervine everytime somebody does something evil? Nope

Bc god presumably has the power to stop the evil acts before they happen. You wouldn't think less of a person who could've stopped the holocaust but chose not to?

Tried to read, but obviously the author is 5 years old. Worst sentence structure I have ever seen. I shouldn't have to read a 5 word sentence 3 times to figure out what he is saying.

The Turkish STILL deny that this ever happened. The average Turk will argue for hours that the mass graves are actually Turks killed by Armenians

How did Pol Pot and Amin manage to stay alive so long? I know Mangale escaped to SA, but these guys live for awhile and were not hiding out.
