I've lost my ability to get mad lately.I would rather let situations resolve themselves with out my direct involvement. Maybe I'm more afraid of getting on some cop's radar than protecting someone's honor.

When I was younger,I would chase people down that offered an insult to me and mine.

Now,I will just tell them to get out of my house and don't come back.

Saves in medical and bail bills. Eats at your pride a bit.

I run several miles 5 times a week. I think that has made me a different person.. I mean as far as giving a shite about a lot of stuff.

But I like it.

sometimes though, I wish a mother fricker would though...

Think it's called getting older. I try to stay away from jackassery, but it still comes out sometimes. Hell I pushed a guy into a urinal at a concert this weekend that cut the entire line of 50+ guys waiting to pee. Got a standing ovation from the crowd for it.

If everyone in America lived like this, it would doom our country.

I'm only 35 and I'm the same way

Don't give a shite about much anymore except my family

Even politics, I use to be a big republican but now I just hate the system and know that no matter who is in office, we are just going to hate them

I now only get excited about big sporting events or cooking/eating meals. Sad lol

I live in New Orleans and my wife just HAD to have some of the muffaletta mix from central grocery.

So due to the crowds, I drive by and drop her off. I tell her I'm going to make a few blocks and pick her back up. Well, most of the French Quarter is blocked off in some manner. I am meandering my way through the quarter with me and my son in the car.

We ended up crossing a street that had a TON of people on it. It's not real crowded at the intersection but I roll through at about .5 mph. I pass 3 feet from this guy. He's about 30, probably around 5' 11" and weighs about 175 pounds.

He looks at me and says "F*** you, Go F*** yourself".

In the past, I would have exited my vehicle and vigorously discussed the matter with the gentleman. I still got a little mad but my son was in the car. I just smiled and drove past. I told my wife about it later and said "I hope that guy makes it home from Mardi Gras safe. I don't think he will, but I hope so".

You change as you get older. It happens.
