Just missed this shite on trivia crack.


Fukin fruit. You kidding me 40 plus years on this damn earth and all along I thought a tomato was a vegetable. V8 IS MADE OF TOMATOES. Am I right? Rant over

I always assumed this was something everybody learned at some point in their lives. Like how mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.

Botanically it is a fruit, for culinary purposes it is a vegetable.

Agriculturally classified as a vegetable, but scientifically a fruit.

I missed that tomato in the fruit class. I always threw that tomato in with celery, carrots, potatoes group not the cool fruit group like apples, oranges, grapefruit.
