Kind of easy to wake up though when you jump in water.

Indeed. It takes me 5 or 10 minutes of stretching/putting it off to take the plunge though, shite is cold

as soon as the water warms up a little Im going to start swimming again. I could wake up and go swim indoor at Newman or the Riley center but Im too lazy to get up and leave the house, so I'm gong to just walk out my back door and see if I can get in a routine

Pre-Workout and a partner to go with are the only ways I can make myself do it personally.

When I used to workout regularly, that was the only way to get me in the gym before work. When my workout partner cancelled, I'd skip at least half the time myself. When I did make, this was my routine.

5:00 am wake and take 3-5 minute shower, grab caffeine
5:20 head to the gym
5:45 to 6:45 workout
6:45 to 7:15 steam room, shower, get dressed
7:30-ish be at work
The key to everything is to pack your bags and lay out clothes for the AM the night before.

That's awesome, dude. You're doing T-25, right? Woof. That routine is pretty brutal.

I'm not a morning person. Tried working out in the morning for a week; will never do it again. No amount of pre-workout or caffeine helped me.

yeah, I took a week off because it kicked my arse the first week. It's fricking intense.

My problem is I like to drink beer and eat like shite.

I love to swim....I could swim for hours if have the time.

no doubt...i'm doing the same

MWF - Weights in the morning and T-25 in the evening

TTH - Couch to 10k in the morning and T-25 in the evening

i have this problem too. Beer is mainly on Friday after work, but i'm sure it's enough to undo what i did during the week.

Take some melatonin or Tylenol Sleepy Time at 730 or 8 on Sunday. You should be out cold by 9 or so and get your 8 hours before waking up at 5 or six. The first day sucks, but once you get in the routine, you'll be getting to bed no later than 10 during the week.

It beats the hell out of hitting the gym at peak hours after work, extra driving in traffic and trying to get that sweet juicy pump after a long day at work.

Do you think T-25 provides enough of a strength workout? I dont really know anything about them, no weights or anything right?

My wife has to be at work for 6, and me for 7, so we both wake up at 445. I find it helpful to drink my protein before I work out. I even sometimes mix in a cup of coffee with the protein.

The key though is to wake up EVERYDAY at the same time. Unlike most people, I feel more rested after 7 hours of sleep as opposed to more.

I think it's becasue I am in REM sleep when I wake up, and anything later means I'm usually in a deeper sleep which makes it harder to get out of bed.

lifting your own body weight is enough weight in itself to build strength. The first time i did it, i found myself to be stronger. So to answer your question, from my point of view, yes.

I would have to wake up at 4:30 in order to go to the gym, workout for an hour, and be at work at 7.

Welcome to my life, except I have to be at work by 8 so i'm leaving the gym at 7. Go to bed early. Best advice I can give you.

Yoga to wake up? I'm lucky if I can bend down enough to touch my toes.

Seeing people mention swimming is having me consider that. There's a public pool a mile from my place... Might actually be closer than the gym
