I agree. And I don't think you'll find many guys at our (SEC) schools who think this resembles the behavior they witnessed at their fraternities.

Booze hazing was pretty much the worst thing you could get caught doing at LSU. Not to say it didn't happen but the worst thing involving alcohol that I saw was a pledge having drink microwaved Cisco "Wine"

I'm not a frat apologist I enjoyed my time but it was a bunch of bs too, but what you said in my experience is simply not true. They didn't do anything because they were all most likely wasted out of their minds and stupid.

They forced someone to pound drinks and then were all drunk themselves. If there was anyone remotely sober around that was mildly responsible he would of been taken to the hospital. The issue was most likely not wanting to stay out of trouble, the issue was not having someone sober enough to know there was an issue.

It's amazing seeing all these frat douches coming in here preaching "oh he's just a pledge bro, it's not like they knew him well". frick all of you

And they wonder why there's a huge push nationwide to ban all fraternities altogether and I'm one of the more moderate people on this topic as I can understand the concept of a fraternity being meant to round out young men into adulthood and being a productive citizen but there are too many frats that don't honor that premise.

Maybe I read it wrong but I thought he was moving around some after and staggering around.

Umm yeah, he did, but let's look at the timeline when he showed any signs of being remotely cognicent. He fell at 11:22 p.m. He showed hardly any signs but breathing until 1:37 a.m. when he vomited, more than 2 hours after he fell down the stairs. I can understand trying to wake him up for 30 minutes, but 2 hours?

By the time most of us were in school most of the ridiculous shite had stopped, for better and for worse. Now, a less egregious incident (drunk pledge, fell, nobody thought much of it and got help) could definitely happen (fraternity or not).

But our culture was more along the lines of "oh shite, we can't have a pledge die, better safe than sorry" thing. Hopefully it'd be more about seriously caring about the kid than just not getting in trouble, but we were pretty risk averse (as much as any fraternity can be).

No, just lived with guy's in frats throughout my college career. Not sure why you feel the need to focus on my Greek existence considering it has nothing to do with this. Guide your anger somewhere else, perhaps to someone that gives a shite

It doesn't matter what you think of the victim having too much drink. He still did it with his trust placed the frat and that they would help him if things got too out of control.

Wasn't in a frat, but I can't imagine placing that kind of trust in some older douches hands especially knowing they're out to humiliate you and get you hammered during rush. That in and of itself is a poor decision. You don't think even the slightest blame needs to be placed on the kid who actually agreed to consume all that shite?

Dude, the first thing you said was "some kids just can't hang". People that think like you are the reason why this kid is dead.

Which was a joke, sorry you can't handle the internet. It's known to be a tough place for soft serve people like yourself. Again, frick off and have a nice day. When I want your opinion I'll ask

You can use this excuse for so much stuff. It really boils down for him "wrong place, wrong time". Yes he was attracted to that community and he was there which led to this, but thousands of people pledge fraternities every year and don't have to think they'll be killed for it. It's like blaming a construction worker for his death when his company has despicable safety regulations instead of the company itself.

Not sure if you're deliberately being this obtuse. Enjoy making excuses for these frat morons.

It's pretty nice how you purposely didn't quote the several times I called the people in the frat assholes for allowing this to happen. Don't let me stop you, single out lines from my posts to create arguments, maybe it will shift the focus and help your case (which I'm still not sure what it is)

I figured it was a joke until you actually starting trying to make excuses for these frat dudes. I bet life is a joy for sociopaths like yourself
