IMO the fault is in the forced drinking, esp a substantial amount, combined with the failure to care for the guy. I mean, if it's just a normal party and a guy gets shitfaced it's not nearly the same thing or heightened level of care.
Bear in mind I'm talking bare minimum standard of decency not what the "right" thing to do is.

my question is tampering of evidence as related to which charge?
So if i excel at tampering with evidence to the extent i face no 2nd charge, i should go free

That timeline is one of the most disturbing things I've ever read. I couldn't imagine being a parent reading that about my son.

Was Trudy White hearing this case? What a travesty of justice

Can you charge someone with tampering of evidence if no charges are brought on what was tampered with?

I'm pretty shocked they let some of these guys off. Maybe I don't understand the case completely but this smells.

It's not surprising when you remember underage boys were getting assraped in the showers at the same University.

Yes. Your act may even prohibit charges from ever being brought.

That timeline is one of the more disturbing things I've read lately.

Which leads to why they were charged in the first place. Without this timeline, their BS story they could have concocted probably would have been enough to get these guys off, when in fact, they should be charged.

What was the judges reasoning to dismissal of manslaughter?

The judge offered no commentary. I always find it amazing a judge can throw out a case even after a grand jury had voted to indict these young men for manslaughter.

If it was a pretty little blonde girl they'd all be locked up
