Think you meant $27 - $2 = $25...the new room rate. I guess adding the two is supposed to confuse folk?

Obviously. Again, that doesn't show why thinking of it as 9*3+2 = 30 doesn't work, which is the only thing that makes the problem mildly interesting.

These salesmen need to find a bwtter company to work for.
When I travel for work, they book me a room (last time was a suite) for just myself. All of my meals are paid for, and they pay for two drinks per night at the hotel bar.

Just give the hotel a 1-star yelp review and move the frick on.
