This ^^^^^^^

I've owned 2 4-Runners. Excellent machines...they are not the grocery-getters that the Pilot and Highlander are.

One is a capable offroad suv. The other two come with tampon dispensers.

I'm sold on Toyta reliability. It's insane how well this Tacoma is holding up, and how in four years I've only lost $1500 in depreciation.

(paid less than book value)

Toyota 4 Runner

Of those 3, that's the one I would choose.

I would cross shop the 4 with an Explorer, though.

I would imagine he was referring to the size, but IDK.

4Runner is the only one listed with body on frame.

The rest are rebodied compact cars.

They're two very different SUVs. But I know you know that.

My wife has a 2012 Highland Limited, and we regret not purchasing a Honda Pilot. Our next vehicle will be a Honda Pilot.

We haven't had any mechanical issues out of the Highlander- it's mainly the dislike of the electronic controls.

We love our explorer

Got so much bang for the buck too compared to the jap brands, but people will continue to pay 50% more for a little better reliability

Pretty sure most SUV shoppers are more interested in interior and handling rather than ruggedness

Check the safety rating of the Pilot, just an FYI.

(I can't say this anymore-getting too many hate PM's from Pilot owners. )
