There are many scan/photo apps that link to spreadsheet/turbo...blah,blah,blah....but, I travel almost weekly, put all receipts in one zipper compartment in briefcase/knapsack, unfold/uncrumple and enter into spreadsheet at end of week ....takes all of 5 minutes....don't over think it.....your not re-financing your mortgage

Appreciate the feedback...keeping receipts for a week or two, scanning, formatting to PDF's are all manual steps. Looks like there are several apps available to take that off your plate which I'm looking for...

Cheers

Our company uses "Hello Receipts" app. It is fantastic. You open the app, take a picture of the receipt, and it automatically uploads it and creates a monthly expense report.

This is exactly what I need...I get 100 per day for meals...just keeping up with receipts is my issue. Anything over 25 needs a receipt. I bring this up because I lost a $95 dinner receipt.

Easy enough...then you have 10-15 receipts in a week that you have to to get in some type of document. Manually...

Plenty of good info ITT

If your company isn't also using the same apps to integrate expenses, then you aren't getting much benefit by using any of them.

My company uses concur, which is linked to my company American Express, which is also linked to SAP, so it is all supposed to be so simple.

But despite all that integration, time after time I still find it easier to just scan them into a pdf.

I concur with Concur

Seriously though I've gone from scanning every receipt, even for a $1 coffee to only needing it for $25+ and everything in between. It's by far the best. Also because we use it for booking travel as well, all my airline/ car rental/ hotel receipts are auto uploaded. Plus it's synced to my company credit card and auto populates my charges, I just have to select the ones I need a receipt for.

Keep all receipts and enter/sort via excel or computer program. I get perdiem , direct bill airfare and lodging. It isn't that hard for me. I guess I am lucky.
