Things you wish society would do

When the light turns green, regardless of position in line, I wish everyone knew it was their signal to take their fking foot off their brake and begin idling forward / accelerating instead of waiting until the car infront of them moved.
We all deal with this on a regular basis but if not, try exiting I-10 in the afternoons and you will sit 2-3 light cycles back with a clear view of the traffic lights ahead and watch a complete light cycle happen and not move an inch. Why? Cellphones and fish lip selfies aside, why do people think they need to wait for the car infront of them to move before they move? Is anticipation only a concept for the 10%'ers? Even if you take your foot off your brake a second or two before the car infront of you, at normal stopping distances you still will not hit the car infront of you at idle.
According to google, the average driver aged 75 years old spends 74 days of their life sitting at traffic lights. I think people could get a least 1/2 of that back utilizing this simple concept.

Standardize either metric or imperial and phase the other out. We don't need both.

Everyone should get Bluetooth hearing aids. Phone goes straight to the receiving ears and not one sound can be heard by any other people.

I began noticing something a few years ago, and this occurs more often in left-turn lights: assuming the first car in line isn't on their phone and takes off right after the light turns green, 99% of the time the 2nd car in line is much slower to take off. Like 2 or 3 car lengths later, they finally go. Then everyone else is on each other's arse because we want to get through the green light.

I'm with you on this. The problem is that it's like a chain. Once you get to a broken link, the rest of the chain is fricked.
That's how chains are, independent links and it only takes one broken link to frick it up.
One day with more automated driving cars it might work like that, more like a cable with constant communication between cars all the way from the front to the back. Even with one broken link/connection, there is still communication around it from end to end.

I wish everyone would get together and decide on one type of POS card reader and stick with it and only it. Having 9,000 different ones that do things in a different order and ask ten different questions is annoying.

Start locking up criminals
Stop forcing low-income housing in good neighborhoods
Bring back stop and frisk
Deport any illegal immigrant that commits any crime
Lock uninsured motorists up
Make it a crime to sue for frivolous car accidents with no proof of real injury. these people have no money so you can't sue them back, so just put their arse no a chain gang
Eliminate quota based hiring
Stop allowing men to compete in women's sports

Pulling out onto the road from a narrow parking lot from the RIGHT lane to leave space for other cars to turn in.
Seems like it’s gotten worse where drivers will have their vehicle smack in the middle of the turn lane.
