The Francis is a nice new place. Foods pretty good, cold beer, nice view.

Magnolia Café

Go visit a plantation or two. Bunch of them right in that area.

Hot as balls.

Lots of plantation houses to see. There's also a little road with a bunch of really old churches that are kind of neat to see.

Try The Francis for lunch or dinner. I've never eaten there, but have heard that it's very good. I have had a few items from the smokehouse shop next door (which I think is owned by the same people), and they were all yummy.

Head up to Clark's Creek Recreation area just north of there for a nice hike and cool off in the waterfalls.

Is the burger joint in the old, like 1930s old, gas station still there? We had lunch there many years ago and enjoyed it.

That's Magnolia Cafe, one of my friend's mother owns it. It burned to the ground some years back and she reopened it in the building in front of the old slave shacks, about 200' from the old location.

Grace Episcopal Church and the graveyards around it are pretty cool(have a number of family members buried there) Plenty of old old oaks

I believe it's Mount Carmel Catholic Church at the top of the hill heading to the ferry that's really nice too.

St Francisville is an interesting little town.

Can't go wrong eating at the Francis, Audubon Cafe, or Magnolia Cafe.

No and probably don't take them. Might wait a few minutes but it's not a bad place. I enjoy it. Only been open about I guess 6 months.

I live in St. Francisville. The Francis is great. Not something you would expect in a small town, lots of craft beer on tap, food ranging from burgers and steaks to grilled tuna and fried seafood. If it is too packed you can go across the street to Que Pasa. If you have kids with you the Queso is my son's favorite there.

Magnolia Cafe has a small town feel. The chicken pesto pizza and spicy shrimp po-boy are outstanding.

At Audobon Cafe the feta dip is ridiculous.
