Heading north of Lafayette for Good Friday and was looking to spend the night in that area. Good things to do this weekend out there? Easter related? Just things to do all the time out there? Thought about maybe making an extra hour drive to Paragon in Marksville, but want to see what Lafayette has going on first.

Hotel recommendations?

Blue Moon, but may be packed. The Juliet is a good option.

There is good music around town this weekend, you should get out and see some.

Eat and drink at Steamboat Warehouse in Washington on the way to Marksville. Get casino hotel room to sleep a couple hours after all night table games. Steamboat has a cool bar, mostly locals, great food. I recommend Flounder Diane with baby honey carrots and grilled asparagus.

So many excellent local restaurants. I'll just name Charley G's for fine dining and Blue Dog Cafe for cajun/seafood. There are many more...

Hotels, there is a nice place in River Ranch where my friend stays when he comes to town. Carriage House I think.

Blue Moon is a cool place... its a bar/hostel that you can stay at. Artmosphere is right across the street which has live music too. The feed & Seed usually has a good show there as well.

Parish Brewery & Bayou Teche Brewery are cool to go check out as well.

They changed it to a Wyndam, but it's a good place to stay

I second the recommendations for Blue Moon Saloon, Artmosphere and Parish Brewing.

Bread & Circus Provisions is a good place to eat.
Pop's Po-Boys in downtown Lafayette is tight.
Pamplona is a good tapas place downtown.

Lafayette is a fun town. People there like to have a good time. And it ranks very high in pretty women per capita.

Definitely. But, prepare to wait in line. Worth it, though.
