This thread reminds me of the pirogue build thread that fishfighter has on the Outdoor Board. You don't see many people building wooden boats like this anymore. Its pretty awesome.

My mom told me a few months ago that her father who passed before I was born built wooden boats for people. None of my Uncles picked it up to pass it on.
