Thanks for the civic lesson. But I, nor those assholes, nor the 20 states that already approved medicinal, nor the two states that already approved recreational, care about the federal constitution in this issue. Its about greed, power, and sheer stupidity.

Dude, you live in L.A. bro! I have gotten legal weed there for at least 10 years so calm down! If you don't have a script ill tell you were to go in Venice for $20! For real!

Politicians. If I had to choose which one to save in a fire, I'd save the telemarketer every time.

Fair enough. Hope you find the answers for your daughter that you're looking for. Regardless of whether MJ is the answer.

Thanks, sorry for being a dick. Its a personal issue for me.

If you feed your children by telemarketing, I hope they starve to death. I support a law that if a telemarketer is on the phone with a driver and a fatal accident results, the telemarketer can be charged with manslaughter.

Take a chill pill. Honestly, I don't have a big problem with telemarketers anymore. Put my numbers on the no-call list and anything I sign up for that I am either not sure I want to have call my cell or I'm sure I don't want them to call my cell, I put my house # down. If it gets too bad I'll just unplug my house phone

I would put you number 1 on the list if you really hope children starve to death.

I would easily execute one of those bastards.

So you think people that forcefully have sex with children are better people than people that call you and try to sell you something? You sound like a total piece if shite. You should be executed for typing that.

I should've paid attention to the name before I posted. I really did speak with someone who is somewhat of a state lobbiest yesterday morning. His argument was " it's really hard to uphold the oath you took to obey the constitution and vote against something that directly violates it. There are medical benefits, no doubt, but it's schedule I currently. That's why we feel our efforts and support are better fit for rescheduling or legalization on the national level before determining legislation/fair use here."
He actually then asked me to send him studies of particular compounds and why (at least I) would advocate for their use.
He is someone I trust. I am sure the time is coming sooner than later that legalization, to some extent, shall occur. I would start by contacting my local congressmen.

Its just that the "we're following federal law" seems a cop-out to me, an excuse to keep the status quo. La has the harshest penalties for simple possession and also just refused to lessen those penalties. The DAs and sheriff lobby are fighting hard against relaxing any pot penalties, with money/power as the motivation. And they figure any bending on the issue, even for medical, will inch things towards legalization. 20 other states have done it, including Wash DC, and La could too. La has its own drug schedule that it can amend.

And La just refused to strike a sodomy law that's been rendered as violation of the US Constitution. So their concern for federal law is not consistent.
