I can't imagine the stress that this young lady and her family are \ were facing.
Prayers sent her way and for her family.
Damn shame all the way around.

I'm not surprised she changed her mind. If you're healthy enough to go to the Grand Canyon then you are healthy enough to enjoy life.
True.
jesus christ some of you have never had someone really sick close to you. Alot of times they will have something they reallllly want to do before dying. The trip takes every bit of energy out of them and in case of my aunt she died 2 days later but got her trip she wanted to do. Being there was awesome for her but the trip there and back were absolutely brutal and no joy was had unless you call sleeping and throwing up 90% of the trip enjoying life.

the last few pages of this thread has blown my mind. I make jokes about everything so it doesn't offend me....I just can't believe how stupid people are. If trying to be funny thats one thing...but to have those thoughts as their actual real opinions is scary

I can attest to the gist of this post.
My uncle has cancer and he has to drive 5 hours once a week, sometimes every two weeks for chemo and he's doing a lot better but not out of the woods yet. But damn the long trip is not helping one bit at all even as comfortable we try to make him and his family (me included) and friends tell him he needs to move there so he can focus on his health full time. He's doing well so so that issue is not being pressed much for the time being but if his health goes down....

I'm glad she got to travel someplace awesome with looks like her family. One last fond memory for everyone. I'm sure everyone who donated to her feels it was the right thing to do.

GOD bless her may she be at peace now.

So, what was with the report that she wasn't going to do it?
I think that there was too much attention along with people who criticized her and she did not want the media on a deathwatch outside her house. So she simply told them that it would not be that day just so she could have her peace in doing so.
Her family has enough to deal with without a bunch of media and fools watching just for the sport of it.
I admire her courage and support her right to choose her own ending.

Yeah, there are some real pathetic fricks in this thread. Nowhere to be found now of course. Without knowing anything for sure, some scumbags in here made her out to be a fraud, etc based on a post. Congrats on looking like total losers!

I just saw where she died. I thought she had changed her mind
I take back my comment. May she rest in peace and prayers to her family. I didn't know the whole story
