Just legaize it, so I don't have to hear those gay voices screaming anymore.

Wait...what?
You ask him this:
He answers with this:
And you respond with this?:
I'm confused.
You ask him this:
quote:
What are these denied resources?
He answers with this:
quote:
Paying less for healthcare and getting a better benefits package value. You can deduct more on a joint filed tax return.
And you respond with this?:
quote:
More money does not equal better parenting.
I'm confused.

It's not really all that hard. The guy said that the study you guys were talking about earlier, which indicated gays weren't the best patents, was tainted because gays don't get the same benefits. I don't care about the study, I don't care about your argument, all I am stating is that money does not solve parental issues - gay, straight, or otherwise. People who are not well off are not bad parents simply because they don't have discretionary income. The opposite is true as well.

I don't think you get my point at all. You are talking about absolutes. I am not. I'm just saying that all variables that can impact the well being of a child need to be considered and disclosed when interpreting the results of such a study. Do you think that money has no bearing on the well being of a child?
There are many variables that can impact how a child is brought up. Parents can do a great job of raising a child. But let's imagine if they are piss poor and can only afford to live in, let's say North Baton Rouge, and their kid gets shot in a drive by shooting.
An extreme example I know, but it's only to prove a point.
Of course you can argue that a kid from a wealthy family could also be raised poorly, but I'm willing to bet that more criminals come from poor families than wealthy.

That's way more extreme than tax considerations, you are invalidating your own point.

quote:The study was not destroyed. Due to the nature of this debate, the other side threw stones at his study ( a univ of Texas professor, always a hotbed of conservatism). Likewise, religious conservatives dispute studies showing gay parents to have little to no impact on children's outcomes.
The study was completely destroyed by the author's peers. Just because it was submitted to a respectable scientific journal for peer review does not make it respectable science
This was another study from an lsu prof that took issue with sample sizes and research statistics of 59 studies that suggested gay parenting outcomes offered little variation to conventional parenting. LINK

No it doesn't. I want to see you admit that money has no impact on a child's well being.
We are talking about two different things. You are talking about the ability of parents to raise a child. I am talking about all things that factor into the well being of a child, which includes how parents raise a child among other things.

While I 'tolerate' all the ghey shite, (well, maybe to some degree), just curious why it was always fine to stay in the closet, now it's like they have come out with a chip on their shoulder, and demanding special rights! I think it has gone too far today, in many ways. Can't think of any country in history that 'promoted gay' as mush as this country does. You would have to think this will eventually lead to destruction of society. Everyone wants their piece of the pie and special rights, when will it all end??
