Nothing about me is being questioned. You are posting "evidence" to support not allowing gay marriage.

I'll remember to put evidence in quotes next time someone posts a study from science direct or pubmed.

Well well well. No you are arguing my point. Thanks.

They are many on here that would probably be ok with that unfortunately. Hypocritical.

You think there will be tons of babies born into single gay parent households?

I'm just bringing facts into the table to encourage healthy discussion.

I think its absolutely pitiful they can't get marrid and have yet to see a good reason from a single person ever that would change my opinion.

I truly think we will all look back at these times in 50 years and fricking scratch our heads in confusion as to why we were so dumb.

Good. Evidence that is still a theory should be questioned with utmost diligence.

That's odd you say that as I have been the only one posting studies...liberal studies and peer reviewed studies at that.

You think studies from science direct and pubmed are just "articles"?

I can't follow because you are all over the place. Which is it that leads to the downfalls of society? Divorces in the black and gay community? Babies born into single parent houselholds?

you posted a study that none of us could read, and when I googled it to find more info about it, it was just link after link after link of people smarter than you and me tearing it to shreds

I posted the black children stat. Geez you're defensive homeboy.

Alright, I'll rephrase my question:

Please post a list of short bulleted reasons why "some people" don't think gays should be married. (void of hyperbole please)

And "evidence" that consists of your opinions on a message board...should they be questioned with even MORE diligence, or am I to assume tigerdroppings has the gospel truth?

Well. Based on the evidence posted in this thread.

- the children don't fare as well.

wut

Have I said my opinions are evidence? Have I said anything posted on tigerdroppings is gospel?

Are you on meth? Why are your thoughts all over the place? It's really hindering your ability to present a logical argument for discussion.

Make a point, defend it with reasons/evidence, THEN move on to another point.

I love these discussions, but you're making this one hard. I am not trying to attack you so calm down.

The breakdown on common societal norms used in historically stable civilizations. I said that in like my first few posts of this thread.

Ok, is that the only one?

Lets figure out more about this. How many gay people would get married if it was legalized? Now, how many of those gay married couples would adopt children?

How big is our sample size?

Now, how many of those children would be raised below the poverty line?

How many of those children will lead a life of crime?

I believe these children will be right along the lines of the national average, BUT no one can know this because there hasn't been enough history/sample around it. Its all purely conjecture and opinion.

Well opinions are all you or anyone else has brought to the table so I'd think so...

I'd just like to see a more WELL THOUGHT OUT reaction to this law other than "I'm not a bigot"

Did you just ask that? Considering children form the very society and culture for tomorrow?

That's the only one that matters.

Well, societal norms in "stable" civilizations throughout history have included slavery, torture, no women's suffrage, acceptance of rape, arranged marriages, child marriages, and dictators revered as deities.

Glad we kept all of those things or society would've just crumbled beneath us.
