its amazing how much DJs get paid. Friend of mine is a manager at hakkasan in vegas, their top house DJ makes makes 250k a night

Calvin Harris earned $48.5 million last year.

He's the only DJ (other than Paris Hilton now) that I could name... and coincidentally he's the top house DJ at Hakkasan in Vegas.

There's like 20 people at her "show" and I'm pretty sure it's inside a Buffalo Wild Wings

As someone who works in this industry, Paris Hilton's appeal is the same of other shell "artists" like Pauly D, they only sell tickets based on their celebrity status as guests just want to see them not an actual performance. Hakkasan is a 100 million dollar nightclub and they still give bookings to fringe Kardashians who've learned the basics in DJing (extremely easy obvi). Other figures like Deadmau5 and Above & Beyond are paid handsomely because they produce their own records and have helped bring an underground music scene into the mainstream.

TL;DR only brain-deads see Paris live

Saw her in Vegas by chance. She was dancing like a spastic virgin on Molly. Don't think she ever touched the equipment.

As someone who lives in Vegas and has worked with some of these nightclubs, your friend must be extremely talented to land that job. Hakkasan is easily the most difficult place to be hired due to so much supply of candidates.

He used to be at LAX/Seville Row, Wet Republic, Rehab, and Tao. They all pay celebs quite a bit just to sit in a table near the stage. at LAX, during a ciroc event, they still paid puffy 100k to be there.

She performs regularly at Hard Rock so I doubt they are hiring someone who only brings 20 people into their casino.

A single table probably requires $5k in bottles to be purchased. They'll pack a couple thousand people in the club at $100 a piece if you can even get a ticket.

I'd bet they clear well over a million + per night.

In other words, they are not DJ AM?

Do they do a lot of mixing or are they pretty much throwing on house music then Qing it up with trendy songs from time to time?

I don't listen to that kind of music but is Hilton big in the EDM community or does her music suck but people still want to see her

I think most of her shows are in Europe and Asia. I know she is still a huge celebrity in Japan and sells a ton of perfume there.

Worked his way up. Its long hours, basically almost 24 hr shifts with naps in spots, 6 days a week. Started with AMG, they moved him to Atlantic city for the new casino, then Sandy hit and he lost all income. Now he is back in Vegas.

It's pretty sweet when I go out. Last time I was there. He came out front to great me and every bouncer out front stopped what they were doing(taking tickets) and came over and shook my hand. Then in the club he called every bartender over to show them me and tell them not to take a cent from me(including tip). the people in the club think I am famous, but I am just wearing jeans and a tshirt
