Seems like these 2 terms get thrown around here much. But people don't understand them and why they use them. I'm here to clarify. Caution: this might sting.

We all use the terms in context that alpha is desired and beta is shamed. Some on here is quick to proclaim themselves as alpha. They are quick to point the finger and call others beta. What's their motivation for doing this? Let's define what is an alpha.

So what some characteristics of an alpha?
1. Tall
2. Broad shoulder
3. Well dressed with cool hair, smile
4. Cool car
5. Great salary
6. And most importantly: a leader and conquerer among men
7. Desired my large amount women

Men in general compete with one another to achieve higher status in the dominance hierarchy ladder. The highest one in this hierarchy is given the status of alpha by those around him/society.

Calling oneself "alpha" doesn't not make one alpha. Ever hear Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Tom Brady calling themselves alpha? Nope. Do you ever hear those same guys call other men "betas"? Nope. Then why do we see this among men so much? It's because they are trying to climb the ladder and the only way they can climb is put other men down. These fake alphas are the worst.

But what would the world be like if all men are alphas? It would be chaos. Everyone would want to lead and no one to follow. Alphas are good at being CEOs, Presidents, directing others what to do. They are not good at getting their hands dirty to make world go round.

Last week, I need a plumber to fix my clear my sewage pipe. 3 month ago, I needed to install new HVAC unit. 2 years before, I need a roofer to fix my roof. Do you think an alpha will come, knock on the door, and do these hands on jobs? Hell no. But we look down on these repairmen as "beta". It's sad.

At the end of the day, we're all men. Sure, there are different status among men. Some are born to lead, some are born to follow. The world needs both. But if you call another man "beta" to one up them so you can appear more "alpha" that you're getting more pussy, you're just fricking loser masking your insecurities.

On a side note, betas(at least physically) such Issacc Newton, Nikola Tesla, and Steve Jobs contributed so much to mankind by making our lives easier. Newton with Calculus, Tesla with alternating current, Jobs with iPhone. But these men weren't interested in conquering other men. They were interested in conquering nature. Does it make them less of a man? Of course not.

That's the only way to climb a ladder, idiot.

This fricking beta doesn't even know how a ladder works.

If you have to read an article to figure out whether you are alpha or beta you are beta.

Is it really one or the other though, is there anything in between?

There at least has to be degrees and levels of alpha and beta.
