If they're really good at what the do, they can make 1K a night. Most aren't that dedicated. They do have to tip out a lot of people though which really cuts into their take home pay.
Average girl at a decent club probably makes about $800-$1,200/week after everything settles out.

That's the problem - the average stripper doesn't work 5 nights a week. The average stripper only works 2-3 nights a week - max.
In BR she'll average 500-600/ night. But on Bourbon, 700-900/ night.
I'm sure this number varies, but it's true for all the ones I've ever known.

The problem with being a dancer in the quarter is that too many girls turn tricks. Nobody is going to tip you hundreds if 60 bucks gets you blown in the back room. Thus there is no money is dancing there....however, waiting table or bartending in strip clubs pays very well. I made a ton of money as a waitress at a shitty strip club in the quarter....usually more than the dancers.

So, I'd bump that up a bit in NOLA and a lot in Vegas, *if* they're good looking enough to compete.
Out here, the top tier makes ~$500k if they actually go to work regularly.

That was a lifetime ago....back when maiden voyage was still around. I don't miss assholes trying to tip me in beads at all....who can pay rent with fricking wampum...I will take my straight job any day of the week over those days.

The waitresses at Penthouse here in BR are always exponentially better looking than the strippers too.
You're right though. Most people tip for drinks -- young, old, rich, poor.. doesn't matter. But a lot of people go into strip clubs and watch without ever tipping. I find this especially common with people my age.
