Got a ten year old 6 series and it's the most fun car I have ever driven. Fast as hell.

My next ride with 520 horses.

Somehow I have never been in a 3 series in my life, how that is possible I have no idea but unless I was a little kid I am pretty sure I haven't, so I can't judge but damn people sure do love their little 3 series BMWs.

Also, the M235i is beautiful.
That picture is a M2, not a 235i M-sport

take a drive in one.
they are fun as hell to drive and just flat out feel great on the road.
they are pretty nice on the inside but not so nice that you will shite your pants if the exterior or interior get dirty/harmed.
really the only gripe I had when I owned one was their dealerships and service departments tended to be staffed by douche canoes who DGAF about you. (at least in Dallas anyway)

The 3 series is the chariot of the $30k/yr millionaire.
480 you're better than that.

I've actually been reading a lot about other cars surpassing it as of late. Maybe that was the 4 series which has been getting panned and I have them confused.

Had a 2003. Not sure why I sold it, and probably the only car I've really regretted selling. TiAg, I added the short throw shifter, best use of 400 bhp I can imagine. Car after that was a 2011 E63 AMG, the last model with the normally aspirated 6.3L V8. An incredibly refined straight-line beast, but not quite the all-around BMF the E39 M5 was. Makes me smile to see that picture.

Well ya, that is probably why I have never been in one!

There’s a reason one of every four BMWs sold is a 3-Series—94,527 in North America alone last year.
A big reason for this is because some of their customers can't afford the more expensive stuff that they make. Lot's of people can afford a 35 to 40K sedan... not so many on the 100K plus M5, M6, and 750. No judgement from me.
Personally, I love a smallish sport sedan... wife loves her Audi S6.
