That link was from 2010 but (IMO) Bruce Hornsby at $35k was a value.

Had them for our wedding. They were great and knew how to work the crowd and interact.

Used them for my wedding last year. Highly recommend!

I guess not everyone can afford Maroon 5

They played at my stepdaughter's wedding 4 years ago. They were great and love crowd interaction. They let the bride and the bridesmaids sing "Don't Stop Believing" with them on the bandstand. Made for a happy bride!

I'm friends with the drummer. Really good guy and extremely talented musician.

No love for the Chee Weez?

After 8 has done a few wedding I've been to, they're good, though I much prefer bands with no female lead singers. (I.e., don't give me a girl covering a song popularized by a male).
We had Phat Hat for our wedding in 2010, great time.
As much fun as I had with the Chee Weez and Bag of Donuts years ago, they're very different these days. Know for sure BOD does a lot of modern top-40 stuff so that's probably not ideal for a wedding. Wife saw them at a deb ball last year and said they were awful

The Dan Band will not do weddings from what I understand.
I believe I've seen After 8 at a wedding in NOLA. But don't recall, because pretty much all of them at that level are good and not really "outstanding" compared to others. That's not a knock on any of them. Just that they are all good and spending a lot of time nit picking probably wont make that much of a difference.
We had the Boogie Men if I remember correctly. We got a lot of compliments on them. I don't really even remember (and I wasn't all that drunk), so that goes to show you how important all that shite really is
