Was just standing on my porch when a truck drives by and throws two newspapers on my sidewalk. Go get them and see they're both the advocate paper from Thursday, October 1st

I'm not signed up to receive anything from the advocate, should I call and complain tomorrow about the littering? I wouldn't mind if it was the paper for today or tomorrow, but for three days ago?

Probably just the ads with a parish specific special section. I think ascension is Thursday, if so look through it, some great pics

Probably a promotion. I'll go out and find they've left a paper for me, every now and then.

Prayers sent

You must have really pissed someone off. The advocate is relentless in the teaser paper. Expect to be picking them up and throwing them away regularly for the next year or two.

If you paid to get weekend delivery you wouldn't have this problem

I got the same paper here today. Kinda random and it was a parish specific edition from Thursday.

Probably good sale inserts or coupons in it.

It's either a sample (I've never heard of using 3 day old copies) or an advertiser with a location in your area paid for home delivery to non-subscribers.

Yep, because you wouldn't be getting ANY papers delivered, including the ones you paid for.

That explains it. I've been seeing them on my yard for a few months now, just never actually looked at the dates on the papers until today
