While speaking of...

If Alton didn't stop resisting when the cop near his head had a gun drawn and pointed point blank at his chest area, and told him "Don't move!! I swear MF'er"...

When exactly do you think he was going to succumb?

I have been told he was well known to the Probabtion and Parol Officers. When they went to do a check on him, the brought 6 cops because he would always resist...

Either he had decided he was invincible or was ready to leave this planet.

This is what I was thinking. I would imagine many of these cops patrol the same areas each shift and that they know many of the repeat offenders as well as the people who frequently hang around outside of businesses. I wouldn't be surprised that the officers knew Alton and knew his past.

Resisting arrest does NOT justify deadly force. Resisting arrest does justify additional charges for resisting arrest (which is not punishable by death - even after due process has been completed).

The guy may well have been a TPOS, but the ONLY justification for lethal force would be if Sterling pulled his gun. 2009's arrest means absolutely nothing when determining if Sterling pulled his gun.

Resisting arrest while armed is certainly justification for lethal force.

It's admissible in the court of public opinion.

The 2009 incident is relevant because it shows a sequence of events identical to the current set of events. It shows his predilection to pull a gun on police while being arrested. More importantly, it goes directly against the people saying he "never carried a gun" and "wasn't a violent person" which are both comments being floated during the protests. Of relevance was that this happened in the relatively recent past and not 25 years ago. In the same town, same police department and for the same reasons.

Arguing that this isn't relevant is disingenuous.

It most definitely would be admissible in a grand jury proceeding.

Where did you come from? Southern law?

They knew him. He was well known in that area by cops and citizens alike. His past was no secret.
