I just set up a termite prevention plan with a local exterminator company here in Lafayette. They are charging $950 initial one time fee and then another $175 annually. Does this sound about right for termite coverage?

Sounds cheap actually. But as a buddy of mine in the industry said, its all about the applicator and not the company.

I just had termite prevention done on two of my properties in Lafayette area. The cheapest (and by far) I found was A-1 Bugaway ph.337-781-0101, Shane. Call him.

Is there a particular brand that treats termites better than another?

Do termite companies jack up the prices every year during swarming season?

Sounds high, but they're swarming, so fear is high and I'm sure they're busy.

My contract is $109 with arrow pest. Initial was done at construction.

Old house initial was "re-done" and I paid $500

You should also know what the protection plan covers. Some may only pay for wood that is damaged and may not pay for actual repair cost.

Also some pest companies may require addition treatments in the future that could cost another $900.
