When I heap a couple say "we are trying for a baby" I always found it odd.
So you are just having sex and hoping the intended consequence of sex happens?

"Trying" involves at least timing it right.

I feel like girls only tell mothers about trying for a baby.

A cause to celebrate is when a couple tells the parents they are actually pregnant.

I've never understood this distinction. There's like an 85% chance of conceiving within a year if a couple doesn't use BC. That is trying to get pregnant.

That said, I've never discussed sex with my parents ever. So it's hard to imagine discussing creampies with them for fun or for business.

I've been at everything from tailgates to weddings and heard a couple standing around sayin, "nothing stuck so far but we're a tryin'" and everyone toasts to that like it's Cousin Eddie and Clark.
