Not sure. Earlier models would run around 850-1300 for the unit reman.

Really.. I have heard they were one of the most expensive rebuilds due to the all wheel drive.

I actually don't own that car, but was wanting to get one as a project.

What would you do about this...

Have a 2003 suburban 1500 with 230k miles. Got it at 180k. Trans maintain never done, so I left it alone.

Recently I noticed the trans fluid was overfilled big time, so I siphoned off about 2 liters of fluid to get it in range.

The fluid is dark, but does not smell burned.

Should I leave it alone or drain and change ( not flush) it once a month for a few months?

Same transfer case for the last 7 years. Even after the engine change.

Witty doesn't mess with European transmissions either.

Pretty expensive to rebuild. Cost to replace would be in the same ballpark and you get a 3yr/100k warranty on part and labor...as long as installed by a repair shop.

2006 Honda odyssey Touring with the stuttering problem that is common to these vehicles. I am thinking about $2500 or so?

That's a reman/rebuilt unit and trust me they use cheap convertors. If the reman company sells 100 units and gets 50 back they still make money.
