In the link provided, there's a pic of the exact kind of boat and trailer I have. I tow it w/ a 2008 6 cylinder F150. I'm in SW Fla, so I don't have to go uphill at all and the boat ramp I use is 10 miles away.
I never go above 50 mph while towing it and make sure overdrive is off.
My question; How long before I destroy my transmission?

I ain't gonna lie. You pushing that torque converter to the limit. If you keep the motor tuned, the fuel filter clean and install a trans cooler it will help. Heat is the number killer of transmissions.

What size truck would you recommend for that size boat? Is a 250 enough? I'm currently looking to get a new/used truck.

1/2 ton, Toyota is the only one capable
3/4 ton diesel, I don't like fords engine, gm is junk except the trans and dodge is dodge.

Shifts perfectly fine. How many miles left? Rebuilding entire Jeep 3 years fron now (frame up) with my son. Will be dropping in a 4.6L stroker. So, thinking of a trans overhaul while its apart. Or, maybe have a freshened up NV3550 waiting? Thoughts on NSG370?
