It's probably THE best food city in south Texas, and I'm not even talking about Mexican food. Some of the best meals I've ever had found their way into my belly in McAllen.
It's better in every way imaginable than other south Texas cities.
But if all you do is stay and your hotel room and eat at familiar chain restaurants, you'll probably hate it.
