You ain't know? She's a top 10 artist of all time.

The one tangible way to judge artists is their net worth from their "art". Say what you want about her music, but she sells records and concerts. Her net worth is north of $250 million which places her in the top 30 of musicians of all time. By the way, she is the only one under 30 in the top 30 and most of the people above her are twice her age or more.

So yes you frickers, say what you want but she'll most likely have a top 5 net worth for musical entertainers of all time. So yes, like her music or not she's pretty dang popular.

None, but that has nothing to do with her being a more talented musician.

She is a pretty young lady but I would like to see her at a Maiden concert in the front few rows trading handjobs for hits of acid.

Is this a thing? I think that's the last situation in which I'd want a broad jerking my dick.

Brittny Spears has basically zero musical talent yet she became a millionaire because she showed some skin and knew how to dance. She couldn't sing worth a shite. At least Taylor has a decent voice.

Out of all the female pop stars to emerge the last 20 years the only 2 that I think have real talent are Christina aguilera and lady gaga.

Britney, Katy perry, Taylor, etc..... Nope

But Taylor writes a lot of her own music. That's the bulk of her talent and surpasses vocal ability.

There is zero reason for men to get married these days. There is nothing in it for them. Men have nothing to gain and everything to lose by getting married. When a man gets married, the woman has all the power. The most valuable thing a man can give away is his commitment, the most valuable thing a woman can give away is sex. But in a marriage, a man can no longer walk away, which is where all his leverage lies in a relationship

Marriage is tough. It's hard work and it's a constant struggle. It's certainly not for the weak, the ill-tempered, those who lack personal responsibility, or those who are selfish.

But the rewards far outweigh the effort.

That said, there's nothing easy about it. It takes compromise, giving up things you love, trading the good of your self for the good of the relationship, trust, hard work, and sacrifice. But you surrender yourself completely to another person and she does the same for you there isn't a better feeling in the world.

quote:

Why should I "man up" and marry a slut who has had multiple sexual partners and allow her access to everything I have worked my arse off for, which she can get control of simply by divorcing me. No thanks.

It is absolutely not for everyone. Some people would rather remain untethered and selfish. And there's nothing wrong with that.

It takes a great deal of vetting and trust to marry a woman. And yes of course there is risk involved. But you have to know what you're getting into. You can't get married for lust or on a whim or for looks. You have to find a stong trustworthy partner who shares the same goals and the same values and the same beliefs as you. You have to vett her family and her friends. Look at the relationship her parents have and how she treats her family because one day that'll be you.

Marriage isn't for everyone, and it's brutal and shitty and hard sometimes, but if you work at it it is absolutely worth it.

One of my favorite quotes us that the bond and rewards of a good healthy marriage are impossible to explain from the inside out and impossible to imagine from the outside looking in.

But if you want to have kids there is an overabundance of scientific evidence that a strong two parent household produces the most well rounded children.

As for being able to walk away whenever you want and never committing, that's a young scared man's fantasy. There's nothing easy about commitment. It takes balls and it takes work.

Ask any old man who never got married and never had kids when he's gotten too old to womanize and too old to bar hop and he'll say he looks back on a life wasted and squandered in youth.

The problem is that feminism and a culture that promotes promiscuity and "sex positivity" while frowning upon slut shaming leads to pretty much every woman being a whore with a high partner count by the time she is 21. Finding a woman who is sexually pure is like finding a unicorn, they don't exist.

Give me a woman who is sexually pure and not a slut, and yeah, I'll consider it, but like I said, unicorn. Best to stay unmarried for life than marry a whore.

Kind of a weird double standard you have.... You will only marry a woman that's pure? Are you pure?

Just because she writes the lyrics doesn't mean they are good. Doesn't take much talent to come up with those bubble gum pop rhymes

This is one of the most ridiculous statements ever made on this or any other message board. If it didn't take much talent, everyone would be doing it. There are so many incredible singers out there who will never have anything resembling a career because they can't come up with a single hit. Look at some of the winners of American Idol and other shows - they crank out fantastic vocalists, most of whom you never hear from again because they can't crank out any hits. If you can write hit pop songs, you're an instant millionaire.

Do you realize the lyrics are the absolute last thing that makes a pop song popular? The success of a pop track relies about 90% on the production/beat.

The majority of songwriters write the music as well. In a band scenario, you may have a creative collaboration where the musicians lay down a riff and the lead singer puts words to it, but when songwriters write, they generally write the lyrics to conform to the music they write also. She does both - she doesn't just write lyrics.
