so you're saying if you don't get married that you'll be unhappy in latter life?

Brittny Spears has basically zero musical talent yet she became a millionaire because she showed some skin and knew how to dance. She couldn't sing worth a shite. At least Taylor has a decent voice.

There's just absolutely no way she writes any significant amount of the music to her songs. She has contributions to the lyrics, but has teams of producers putting the tracks together.

This is me.

I can't get past not having freedom. I feel caged when I have to ask to go do something. I don't like when a SO doesn't go do shite because it's not "normal."

What if we're eating dinner at 7 on a Tuesday and my buddy texts me and wants to go see some new movie. Now, this should be NO big deal to any party involved. But, it's not normal. No matter what ANY girl says, they'd be mad/hurt if I just up and went to this movie. WHY? I would never give 2 shits if a girl did that.

That wasn't a personal story, just an example. And idc what any of you say about how awesome your gf or wife is and how I choose the wrong girls....girls are not ok with shite like that. And that example is tiny as hell. It's shite like that that I can't handle in relationships. If my buddies want me to go to Vegas with them, I'd absolutely make sure it was ok with my SO and wouldn't fight it at all if she said no.

But the everyday freedoms that are lost in a really serious relationship...can't handle it.

Do you realize the lyrics are the absolute last thing that makes a pop song popular? The success of a pop track relies about 90% on the production/beat.

I disagree. Most girls I know who listen to that shite find meaning in the songs that relate to their lives or experiences. That's why these songs are written about shite that people go through.

This. As much as i hate kanye west, i give him credit for being an artist because he produces his own shite. There is no way that taylor swift is actually producing her music.

Of course. She's "too big to fail" now. There's too much money to be made.

Certainly in the last few years she has just been cranking out pop hits that have been prepackaged for her. But that isn't how she got to the top. She got there by being an incredibly talented young lady who wrote most of her own stuff. Once she got to the top, they cashed in on the fame she built.

So a she just woke up one day and all these writers and producers were at her door begging to write and produce her some songs? There is a reason people become famous....

Oh I agree. I was pointing out that the opinion that she doesn't write her own stuff might be true now, but that's to be expected. Hasn't always been that way.

Daddy contributing money to her record label helped a bit too.

Doesn't take much talent to come up with those bubble gum pop rhymes

So write one then and post it in this thread. I will check back in an hour or two and should see the lyrics to a song that just needs a good beat to be a #1 hit.

I absolutely hate pop music. I'm a Grateful Dead, Phish, WSP, Gov Mule, String Cheese, Umphrey's McGee, etc type of jam band fan. However, I won't sit here and say it doesn't take talent.

It blows my mind that people are infatuated with this woman. She is good looking, but not even close to hot.

Dude, I swear, you prove that point of view is EVERYTHING.

I am going to quote you in my sig for a while. It will be a subtle way to let the Poli board know that their point of view is just their point of view and not an established kind of knowing.

Gee. I am shaking my head. Lord.

She's too tall for me, but I am certain she is hot beyond measure.
Face like an angel.
tits in the OT 8 to 9.5 range (depending on preferences)
some people like long legs. some people REALLY like long legs.
