When I went to HS only WWII Navy Vets and ex-cons had tattoos, and it was easy to tell which was which.

No such thing when I was in high school. Those that did were already in jail or prison.

I don't have any tats. There were a couple kids in my school with one but I have seen many kids these days with several tats. Make me wonder: if they are 17 years old with a bunch of tats then at what age did they start getting them?

I teach a 12 year old with a full chest tatt.

He was also given up by his mother and missed school for about 2 years.

He's remarkably stable actually.

I graduated in 2003. I think less than 5 kids in my class had tattoos. I remember one guy got the sun on his lower back and was showing it off because he thought it was badass

Nobody had tats when I was in high school. Hell the only other people that I ever saw with tattoos when I was a kid were military veterans and biker dudes. Chicks had nil.

Nothing says "don't hire me" more than visible tats. These kids have a bright future ahead....

What's scary is to think about how many things were important to you at that age that you couldn't care less about as an adult. That shite is now permanently affixed to their body.

No of my friends had any. Of course, I choose not to associate with people that have tattoos.
