I would go to a Katy perry concert with my girlfriends.
But I'm almost 24.
And I like her cupcake trampoline and fun outfits.
Don't think I'd take my young child. Seems like a night for women to party more than anything.

I'm assuming she's a preteen, and most preteens have shitty taste in music.
Ain't just because she's pretty. She keeps coming out with the hits.

I think you have just as bad of taste in music as your daughter, but you don't have being 10 as an excuse.

Taking a 5 year old to a concert is about not having a sitter. Don't pretend it's for the kid.
We went to see Motley Crue & Alice Cooper a few weeks ago and I was surprised at how many kids were there. I noticed at least a handful who looked no more than 5 or 6 yrs old.

I can't wait to write the excuse to her catholic school letting them know she missed school to see katy perry. My daughter saw her movie probably 2 years ago and loves singing and dancing along. What's more entertaining than dancing around looking like candy and cupcakes for a five year old?

This is the first time I've brought it up and I was just joking.

No it's because those without kids will on the one hand argue that it's no big deal for some idiot to be about in public simulating sex acts on statues while on the other hand make some absurd argument that "daddy & daughter dates" are creepy.

Wait, when she talks about big balloons she's talking about her huge tits?!!? My kids love that song!!!

I've never been to a pop concert like that, but I would think y'all would be fine. It doesn't seem like they would attract much of the drug using crowd.

Oh, Geeze dude. You're just hard-up as hell to get on my nutsack today aren't you? I didn't bring it up in that thread. I was replying to some idiot who brought it up and said it was creepy or whatever.

The one that's like 9 minutes long? I pull up the lyric video on youtube so my kids can dance. I like Katy Perry. A lot. No shame in my game.
ETA: Okay. So I can dance.

I'd bet over half the crowd will be just like you, a dad taking his daughter to see one of her favorite pop acts. My little girl just hit 6 so I've not had to do this just yet but I'm actually looking forward to it as a great bonding time for me and her.

Yep took my stepson to his first concert in jones beach New York. It was rush. First 5 seconds the weed smoke started. Don't think we'll have that problem at katy perry. However, the smokers at rush were quickly escorted out. So stepson learned a lesson that day.
