re: Pond Clarity

Posted by SuwMwf on 4/19/24 at 3:11 pm
We use AG lime sprayed directly off of flat bed trailer with a hose. Takes hours but it’s kinda satisfying. It’ll end up clearing our whole pond. About 1-1.25 acres in size. Now our pond is clear enough grasses grow and we use pond dye to knock that back. The AG lime lasts a few years and we do have...

It’s huge. Thankfully we tripled our equipment pad area before the build so things weren’t cramped. The 30k gallon one is taller....

Try calling glacier if the fan type is what you were wanting. They’re out of Houston area, I think. They can tell you who in Lafayette is buying and installing. Our guy was out of Baton Rouge, but we are in youngsville. We have been satisfied with the type of chiller we have and we already had a ga...

If we didn’t have a chiller last year we wouldn’t have been able to swim during the heat wave that we had all summer. We have a glacier brand 30k gallon chiller. We run it only at night and it lowers pool temps by 10 + degrees. We get full sun almost all day. I think there are redneck options but I’...

San Miguel rooftops

Returning to San Miguel, but bringing the husband and teen this time. My parents are joining as well. I got great recommendations on this board for my first trip so thought I’d ask again. I’m looking for a great sunset dinner that isn’t too dressy for our first night. We did Luna at rosewood and it ...

We need about 80 bags this year. It’ll be the cheapest one for sure. Brown dyed from stine. Cypress has been out of budget for a long time and would be my choice if I had a small yard. ...

It is "pediatrician". There are many pediatric specialties. "Pediatric" sounds ignorant....
Catholic schools in Lafayette are pretty reasonable. Most pre k-8th grade schools average around 8k per year. Now that my youngest is in high school 11-12k is normal. I have a freshman at St. Thomas More and after all is said and done it is around 11 ish. We are not catholic so unfortunately we pay ...
You saved enough to afford to fly to pick it up? Are you going to have it serviced at the dealer you bought it from? Or just take it to the nearest dealer, expecting great service from the dealer you shunned?
We were going to just drive and the dealership was going to wait on us,...
I only talked about the terrible practices of the mostly LA bmw dealers in this thread, but we had even worse problems with Chevy dealers across Texas and LA. More than once we had deposits down on a Tahoe my husband needed for work and the vehicle either “never came in”, “has no expected date of ar...
I’m a little old fashioned in that I do like to negotiate and I want to see at least a version of what I’m buying. I called BMW woodlands and told the seemingly green salesman I had a car in btr that I liked everything about except for the color. Asked if he could work up his best deal on one they w...
I was so shocked when after shopping 5-6 dealers across LA and TX that when I got to a good one I threatened to beat him up if he was messing around. He laughed and assured me no funny business so my husband and I got on a plane an hour later and flew to pick my car up. Then when the skeezeballs I h...
Crate train!!! If you are not holding or feeding or watching it sleep it needs to be in a crate. When it wakes up take it out to potty and tell it potty. When it plays for more than a few mins take it outside to potty. When it finishes eating take it outside to potty. Basically all the time take it ...

Stayed in a Sonder (apartment) property near the Vatican with my teenager and mom that was comfortable and spacious for the price in July 2022. Next trip with husband we stayed at a hotel near pantheon and really enjoyed that stay. Terrace Pantheon was the name. Prices have shot up tremendously in R...

I buy it for big trips. We had an exuma trip 2 years ago that got canceled when everyone went to a family wedding and got covid. It was 3-4 days before departure and at that time bahamas required testing both going in and out. Homeowner said he couldn’t rent the home at the last minute (he lied and ...
Our labrador went into heat MUCH earlier than expected and instead of dealing with the mess, crazy behavior and male dogs that were practically ringing the doorbell we had her fixed mid heat. For all the keyboard warriors out there she was bred and whelped the heat before. It was slightly more compl...
