I'd go with more of a Corey Raymond and less of a Bradley Dale.

The breast opening isn't enough for you?

Center vent is more Ivy League/American traditional. Double vents are more European and were originally developed, I think, for riding horses so your jacket wouldn't open in the back when you're sitting. All of my suit coats and jackets are double vented because I ride horses a lot. Seriously, I prefer double vented.

I've always thought center vents look more on trend, but go with whichever you think looks better. Just please cut the vent thread before you wear.

depends on the suit...
formal wear, center.
relaxed and work attire, side.

Unless you're very slender and can carry off a Euro look, go with the center vent. And stick with center vent for business wear unless you're in an "artsy" business.

Stick with the center vent like these guys are telling you. That way you look like a clown just like all of them, making me look all that much better.

Double vent looks way better imo. Never been a fan of the center vent style.

I prefer side vents on an English cut coat (gotta have the ticket pocket) and Harris Tweed jackets in winters.
For a standard blazer or suit I like the center vent.

Honestly, I wonder where some of you people work. It's like you have no actual knowledge of a typical corporate environment.

Center is for grandpas and fatties.

Side vents all day. Tuxedos traditionally have no vents, but side vents are acceptable.
A center vent is the least formal of the three options.

No.
Formal is no vent or side vent and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Side vents look like arse flaps on pajamas
Go with center

Well all vent options look poor on an ill-fitting suit.
As I said earlier, center vent is the least formal of the options, although perfectly acceptable for a business suit. Most high end suits will be side vented and although hard to find, no vent is the most formal and can be found on some tuxedos. Side vents are also acceptable on tuxedos.
