Who didnt see that one coming?

Its also a huge problem with every 'victimized' group in the world, and it will continue to get worse .... "Because you're Good Enough, Smart Enough, and Doggone It, People Like you" - Stuart Smalley

My folks told me I had to work hard in life or I'd be poor and mediocre.

They also taught me to fat shame.. best parents ever, imo

What about the "Mommy and Daddy's little Princess" mentality many girls have and continue to have through their teens and early 20s?

Don't feel bad for me though. When I'm down I just stare in the mirror and remember how good I look

Isn't it plausible that the a person with narcissistic-tendencies, will over-praise their children, because they see their children as extension and reflection of their already over-inflated self? So even if they changed their parenting style, the children may already be more likely to have narcissistic-tendencies. Although I'm sure their parenting contributed, I would like to control for the parent's traits before even thinking about making causal statements.
