We're in Alys. Things might be bad to the east but we just watched the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen. We got hit by ONE band of rain all day. Probably .5 inches.

Anyone who is heading PCB or west thereof this weekend is completely good to go.

So does this count as a Dukke V miss, or is it more like picking the right winner and wrong score?

Hermine's eye is sliding east of St. George Island and decreasing in size. Most of the dry air has worked out of the eye and intensification appears to be occurring. Communications have been lost with the hurricane hunters so it is difficult to determine how strong Hermine currently is at this time. The NHC will be using satellite, weather buoys and stations to make that determination. Not coming ashore will also give Hermine more time to strengthen.

So jelly. We were in alys/rosemary three weeks ago and it rained every single day we were there. Then we got to come home to the great flood. You should take us in so we can enjoy the beach without rain everyday. :)

My son has been asking to go to "doe-nut twuck", Charlie's donuts. He doesn't realize the real world doesn't include a chocolate donut and splash pad before the beach each morning.

Have fun and go have a Rita at cocina for me.

It's pretty amazing how much this storm has tightened up today. It's scary looking right now...

I hope it does too. Just be glad this thing doesn't have more time over water.

Crazy.
