Not phishing. We recently got her a different car and had talked to same agent two weeks ago.

Drop the insurance and switch to another company if they push the issue. Nothing they can do so They'll zero out the charge.

I don't understand all this, I'm with Shelter and last year when my daughter started driving our insurance went up $110 a month....:: I was already paying $260 a month for my wife and I so it was less for her than it is for us

They said to expect a bill for 3000.00 because they have been undercharging us for my daughter's car insurance for three years because they had her birthday wrong.

Meh...when I was going through college I worked as an auto insurance agent. I know I had to carry insurance in case I made any type of mistake in writing the policy. Can't see them retroactively charging you 3k and making it stick for an error they made.

I'm not a dumb arse. The car is in my name and so is the insurance.

Lemme tell you something. You come to my office and we make that kind of mistake, you'd never even know. We'd take care of it on our side, through errors and omissions if necessary.

That's how it should be done.

Figure out where the mistake was made. Their fault then they should eat it but if you entered it incorrectly on the application then they might could nail you for fraud if you try and switch companies. Not a lawyer but if her age was entered incorrectly on multiple documents submitted by you then I'd say they have some strong evidence that you tried to intentionally and fraudulently deceive them to get lower rates.
If its their fault and they continue to harass you then threaten to prosecute them for theft by deception.
Again I'm not a lawyer and I didn't even stay at a holiday inn last night.

Car is in my name and added to our policy. Since we have 3 cars he had to be listed as a driver on one.

Our coverage limits are higher than basic coverage. $400 -$475 increase seems to be common after talking to other parents adding teen male drivers.

We're with Liberty Mutual with 2014 Expedition, 2015 Explorer and the 2010 4 runner. I do plan to shop the coverage soon

In two years little brother gets a car....,,, fun times!

Do you live in Louisiana? I'm telling you what others have said.. You are getting screwed. Most likely by a newer agent.

this is the first step that needs to be taken.... if he/she is worth a shite they will remedy the situation which could give you some incentive to stay. if they can't and give you a line of shite then find a better company. Not cheaper per se, but better.... Give the Bureau a call....

the problem with some state farm guys is they have other people doing their shite and you don't know who he/she is... no personal relationships
