Alaska has the northern, eastern and westernmost points in the US.

LSU is the only team in CFB with numbers every 5 yards....may not be true anymore.

Pretty sure they were at least at some point the only team with H style goalposts. We still have them, but maybe some other schools do too now.

The actor who plays Aquaman is married to Likakoi Moon who was born Lisa Bonet ( Denise Huxtable )who first married Lenny Kravitz who's mom was Helen Willis who was half of the first interracial couple on TV and commonly referred to as Zebras by George Jefferson who's show was a spinoff of All in the Family whose star actor was the last male with the surname Carroll. Ten shades of meathead indeed...…...

“I write the songs” won a Grammy award. No “Beach Boy “ song ever won a Grammy.

But, it is true. The expression, "The days get longer in the Summer and shorter in the Winter" is - in fact, 180 degrees wrong.

Eh. This is a cute semantics thing. Days get shorter as the summer progresses sure, but summer definitely gets longer days than winter, regardless of the direction of trend down or up given the season.

I never interpreted that expression to literally mean length of a specific day compared to the next... instead I’ve always thought of it as days are longer in summer than winter. Referring to shorter and longer as relative to the season summer/winter, not intra-season trends. Because summer definitely gets longer days than winter does.

NDT doing some odd and misleading semantics here imo.

Where are you gettting your numbers from? Atlanta is barely in the top 10.

Unless you’re counting the metro population which isn’t considered for a city’s actual population.

President John Tyler, born in 1790 and died in 1862, has two living grandsons. Mind. Blown.

Cleopatra lived closer in time to the founding of McDonald's restaurants than she did to the construction of the Giza Pyramids.

If you made $5000 a day and have been alive since Columbus discovered America, you still would not be a billionaire and would have less money than Bezos makes in a week.

In June 1917 at Messines Ridge in Belgium, the British completed tunnels going from their lines through no-man’s- land to right under the German lines. They packed a total of 900,000 lbs of explosives in 19 mine shafts under the German lines. One tunnel alone, located at a key point contained over 90,000 lbs. of explosives. When the mines were detonated, the massive explosion could be heard almost 150 miles away in London. A large section of the German line was obliterated in the blast. The British were then able to capture the ridge. Despite this, no decisive general breakout was achieved by the British.

Side note: during the British tunneling operation before the start of the offensive, the Germans mounted their own tunneling operation and there were pitched battles undergoing whenever the tunnelers found one another. The British even dug some tunnels to keep the Germans from discovering the main British tunnels.
