The career I'm wishing for (next year) is probably around 15k.
I'm tired of not working.

30 an hour with 10 hours overtime a week at time and a half.
Pipe designer for Valero. BA from LSU is currently worthless, 1 year degree from a tech school is how I got my job.... lucky

gotcha thanks. would make sense I worked on oil rigs many moons ago so that make sense.

It also is similar pay and schedule to what I do now hence why I was curious.

My old dream was to work I the blockbuster store down the street. The. They freaking closed.

Ill work for you if I can help you boil crawfish and drink beer. I have to be back for carpool so we will need to get an early start on the drinking.

re: Starting salary for your career
Once I started my own business I made more...but a lot of it is cash. Which is harder for me to keep track of to make sure I pay my 'fair share'...

re: Starting salary for your career
I never got a job in my career, but the one offer I had was $60k for 60hr weeks. I said frick that and kept my general engineering jobs. Started at $50k, but that was in NorCal so it was more like $35k.

I got 60 right out of grad school as a Physical Therapist. Our cap (sans starting your own business) in the southeast is about 130-140 (if you are busting your arse doing home health/as needed work in some not so desirable settings. If you're working in a great clinic it's going to be significantly less.
