Yeah I think she was a former judge, Cynthia Woodard.

Is it true that one victim is a local judge? There is the grad student, and I saw another was "Annie Richardson", I'm assuming the local artist.
Cynthia Woodard is a retired judge. Ani Richardson is an artist who lives in Ruston. They sent my daughter, la tech student, an email that two women had tried to intervene with a situation as it was playing out. I’m assuming these were the two they are referring to. I think they were leaving an aerobics class at the Lambright center.

As of now everyone is still alive. A knife, not a screwdriver, was found on the suspect.

Was it an assault knife? Need to know before I am "outraged".
Also, if the perp had no priors, then these attacks are likely justified. What were the races of the victims? Need to know this as well to determine if this story is important.

We have new "on site" reporters literally every week. I think this station is some sort of training site for new reporters. (thats the only reason I can ascertain). Maybe, an internship.

A poster from Tech site saying Judge Woodard was one of the one's stabbed?
I'm hearing she got some serious licks in on the attacker. Your honor-san.

“”xxxxx is awake.. it was not a screwdriver.. it was a knife .. he first jumped on xxxxx and slit one side of her throat.. cutting her jugular vein.. then he jumped on xxxxx doing the same to her..
Local paper said four counts of second degree murder and just released victims names.

That was the worst reporter in history of the profession.

Ruston Daily Leader
Good report with lots of details. Two victims critical but stable. Third is stable. Fourth did not require treatment.
Folding knife, not screwdriver, was the weapon.
Sounds like a random attack by a nut job.

I thought it had been established he was there to confront an ex girlfriend and the other women tried to intervene?
