Sounds like maybe he had a schizophrenic break? ETA not defending him. He probably needs to be in a locked psych ward the rest of his life if he’s capable of what he did. The fact that people immediately make it about race is alarming though.

Ruston Mayor Ronny Walker has confirmed that one of the victims in Monday’s knife attack at Louisiana Tech, Annie Richardson, has died. Mayor Walker confirmed her death while at a hospital in Shreveport, where he has been with the family throughout Tuesday afternoon.
Richardson was one of four victims attacked outside the Lambright Sports & Wellness Center Monday morning, allegedly by 23-year-old suspect Jacoby Johnson, a Louisiana Tech student from Rayville. Richardson was a local artist in Ruston and was leaving an exercise class at the Lambright Center when attacked.
Two other victims, Retired 3rd District Judge Cynthia Woodard and Tech graduate student Dominique McKane, are still recovering in a Shreveport Hospital. A fourth victim, retired teacher Debby Hollimon, was cut on the face as she tried to help McKane during the attack, but was not hospitalized.
Johnson was originally charged with four counts of attempted second degree murder.
Authorities continue to say Monday’s attack was a random act of violence and that Johnson had not been on anybody’s radar screen for problematic behavior.

Damn. Mentally ill or not, this guy should never be allowed out in public again. It sounds like he was a previously law-abiding, good student. That’s how schizophrenia starts, though. A previously normal late teen to early 20s person becomes paranoid and loses all touch with reality. This is what asylums are for. ETA not all schizos belong there but this one does.

Their daughter is the sexy lil thing Mike Polito of MAPP Construction robbed from the cradle.
Also, the lady that passed away was the mother of ex LSU football player, Cole Richardson, who passed away last January. The husband/father and daughter/sister from that family could probably use some prayer. It's been a shite year for them.

How did Cole die? The poor dad. So terrible. His son in February and now his wife in November.

The Richardson family is one of the kindest, nicest families you will ever meet. All these victims and their families fit the same mold also. Tragic and heartbreaking all the way around.
